Conventional Training Meets Integrative Clarity
NICE TO MEET YOUÂ
I'm Dr. Sheri Erwin
DNP, APRN, FNP-C
I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice and board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. I have been in academia and clinical practice for over 20 years, teaching at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels while caring for patients across primary care, oncology, post-acute, urgent care, and integrative settings.
What I began to see — again and again — was that even the most dedicated clinicians felt underprepared when it came to connecting root-cause thinking with real-world care. That's why I founded BridgeWell Integrative Education: to give NPs and NP students a clear, grounded path to practicing functional and integrative care ethically, safely, and with confidence.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
The BridgeWell Difference
Clarity
You'll learn functional care in a step-by-step way that respects your medical training — not replaces it.Â
Credibility
Everything is evidence-informed, clinically relevant, and designed to help you practice safely and effectively.
Confidence
You'll build the skills to reason through complexity, serve your patients better, and lead with purpose.
How It All Started
Â
When I first began exploring functional and integrative medicine, I wasn't short on resources — I was overwhelmed by them. There were courses, certifications, protocols, and influencers everywhere… but few that helped me make sense of it all as a medically trained clinician.
I kept asking myself, "Where is the bridge between this and what I already know?"
I wasn't looking to replace my conventional training. I wanted to expand it — to honor what I'd already learned and add new tools to improve patient outcomes. But everywhere I turned, I saw fragmented approaches, one-size-fits-all thinking, or a complete dismissal of the medical model.
And I wasn't alone.
The more I talked with other clinicians — nurses, NPs, and providers from all settings the more I heard the same thing:
"I've spent thousands of dollars and I'm still confused."
"It's like every program promises clarity, but just leads to more overwhelm."
"There's always another upsell, another certification, another system to buy…"
Â
BridgeWell Integrative Education was born from that gap.
It's what I wish I had when I started — a place where clinicians can learn integrative and functional thinking that aligns with their training, their ethics, and their real-world clinical lives.
What Clinicians Say
Sheri gave me a framework that actually made sense of all the functional medicine I'd been trying to piece together.
This is the kind of education I've been searching for — grounded, ethical, and clinically relevant.
What impressed me most was Sheri's ability to teach clinical reasoning — not just information. She helps practitioners think critically, not just follow protocols.
Why Do It?
I believe clinicians deserve better education — and so do their patients. Too often, nurse practitioners come out of excellent programs with strong clinical foundations, but no clear way to apply integrative or functional strategies safely and confidently.
The result? Either they stay stuck in symptom management, or they enter the integrative space feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or skeptical.
I started BridgeWell Integrative Education because I wanted to change that. I wanted to create a learning environment where practitioners don't have to choose between science and systems thinking — where they can honor their training, expand their perspective, and care for patients with both clarity and compassion.
